CCONTINUA

CCONTINUA is a ceramic practice founded by Chiara Caselli that investigates everyday ritual and the silent choreography of domestic life. At its core lies the circular gesture of the potter’s wheel—a repeated movement that inscribes time, pressure, and duration into matter. Ceramics are conceived as temporal devices, capable of retaining the memory of making and reactivating it within the space of dwelling.

Working with clay and porcelain, the practice approaches the table as a domestic proscenium. Objects are conceived as active agents in a dialogue between the body and the environment. Texture, thickness, and surface articulate a precise tactile experience: the hand receiving a cup, the perceived density of a plate, the tension between glossy glaze and underlying matter. Within this sensory interval, habitual gestures become moments of attention and presence.

NUVOLE represents the ultimate expression of CCONTINUA’s research. The collection is articulated around a subtle balance between material consistency and visual lightness. Volumes are full, expanded, and soft, evoking atmospheric bodies suspended between gravity and levitation. Glossy surfaces intensify the feeling of suspension, positioning the
objects in a hybrid equilibrium between use and contemplation.
Plates, cups, and vessels acquire a totemic quality: they may host food or remain empty, functioning as sculptural markers within the domestic landscape. The chromatic palette—from milk white to banana yellow, blush pink to chocolate brown, extending into deeper tones of caramel mou and pomegranate—activates an elegant imagery that borders on the edible, provoking an almost instinctive desire to taste.

CCONTINUA’s ceramics function as sensory and symbolic agents, subtly redesigning the rituals of everyday life.
