Loop Mug / Set of 2 + Teapot

The mug exaggerates its most familiar element: the handle. Stretched beyond conventional proportions, it turns the simple act of drinking into a more playful and expressive gesture, inviting a different relationship between hand and object. The teapot plays with familiar proportions, extending its handle upwards into an iconic gesture. The oversized handle changes the way the object is approached and held, transforming the act of pouring into a distinct physical interaction. Its lid introduces another layer of ambiguity: removed from the teapot, it can become an incense holder, shifting the object between use and ritual.

Acqua Alta is an expression of CCONTINUA’s ongoing research into pigmented tableware and the subtle balance between glossy and matte surfaces. Playing with geometric volumes and oversize proportions, the objects inhabit a hybrid space between use and contemplation. The collection consists of five pieces: One-Meal Plate, Bowl, Loop Cup, Teapot, and GigaSpoon. Through this play of roles and functions, familiar typologies become ambiguous objects, deliberately left open to the interpretation of those who use them.
