Ribbon - Side Table

The Ribbon Table forms part of Klemick's latest undertaking which examines textiles and fabrics from a woodworking outlook. The current research blends woodworking with textile design, expressing the wood as a fabric-resembling substance. The side table was clothed in genuine fabric material at Klemick's residence, then scanned and transformed into lumber through innovative technology. The Douglas Fir timber was collected from decommissioned sites around Los Angeles and handcrafted to produce the final piece.
