Objects For Objects

Objects for Objects is a Los Angeles based furniture brand founded in 2017 by Leonard Bessemer. As a self-taught carpenter, Leonard got his start doing fabrication for artists in Berlin. Upon his return to California, he began doing full commercial and residential build-outs. Using leftover materials from those jobs, he built his own designs that would become the furniture brand Objects for Objects. The furniture is odd and playful, yet elegant. All of the pieces are built by hand, one at a time, by local craftsmen.

Objects for Objects has produced a limited edition collection for Urban Outfitters x Clever, shown at Collectible in Brussels, and was awarded a spot on Sight Unseen’s 2019 American design Hot List. His work has been featured in Elle Decor, Architectural Digest, Domino, and Belle Magazine.
