Ahu

Ahu is a collectible design studio based in London and Istanbul, founded by Eda Akaltun and Mevce Ciraci. Rooted in deep cultural research and material exploration, the studio reimagines Turkey’s rich heritage and rituals of hospitality through a contemporary lens. With Akaltun’s background in visual arts and Ciraci’s expertise in product design, the founders bring together complementary perspectives that converge in their collections.

Each limited-edition piece is handcrafted in collaboration with local artisans, combining traditional techniques such as wood carving, marquetry, and embroidery with digital tools. The result is objects that are both precise and poetic - where function meets art, and where craftsmanship becomes a language for storytelling.
